As one of the most touristic cities in the world, Amsterdam has more than a total of 1000 restaurants. Every citizen or visitor in Amsterdam can find a restaurant or cafe that will suit their taste and wallet. Being such a multinational city, more than 24 different cuisines are presented. In most Amsterdam restaurants, reservations are not required, but during the prime times most restaurants are full. So, if you don’t like waiting, it is better to reserve a table in advance.
In the Netherlands, lunch is usually served between 12:00 and 14:00 and dinner between 19:00 and 21:00. Opening hours for lunch and dinner restaurants normally match these hours. However, there are a lot of breakfast bars, cafes and restaurants that are open all day. In most restaurants the kitchen closes around 22:00, but there are many snack bars open until late for midnight snacking. Dutch restaurants generally do not include a service charge in the bill, so it is normal to tip an extra 5 to 10 percent. Our hotel is located in the city centre, with tons of options of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
