Are you travelling to Amsterdam and you are always up for a nice cup of coffee? Unfortunately, the cafes at the moment are closed but many of them are open for take-away and some of them even for deliveries. We gathered for you the best spots in the city that you can have your coffee – of course just few meters away from the City Hotel. 

Coffeecompany

Just outside the hotel you have a chance to try out one of the best coffees in the city. The first Coffeecompany opened its doors in 1996. Coffeecompany has seduced a new generation of coffee lovers with the quality of coffee in a comfortable atmosphere. The Coffee Company has special coffee based on its own recipe. With purpose-built espresso machines and advanced barista training at the coffee warehouse in Amsterdam, coffee brewing at the Coffee Company is an art.

Bocca Coffee

They are the first speciality coffee roaster in the Netherlands to manage the entire bean-to-cup process: from sourcing to roasting and packaging to serving.Their roasters roast to bring out the best and full potential of what’s inherent in each particular coffee already. They know exactly how to do this because they have been doing this for years. They are so good with coffee that even have tea coffee and barista workshops. Head to Bocca coffee whenever you want really good coffee.  

Cafe Van Leeuwen 

Since May 2001, Café van Leeuwen has been situated in one of the loveliest streets of Amsterdam, the Utrechtsestraat. Located on the corner of the Keizersgracht, Café van Leeuwen provides a stunning view of one of the most spectacular canals in Amsterdam. You can order breakfast or lunch including soup, salad and a selection of sandwiches. At the moment, the cafe works with takeaway. 

Cafe de Jaren

Now their menu with best classics of all time is available for the takeaway and delivery. Start your day with their breakfast served with great coffee. Great sandwiches, crispy bread and exceptional soups. They offer great soup deals for the delivery. You can get one liter of incredibly delicious and hot soups only for 7,5 euros delivered to your location. Try some fresh home made chips! 

Cafe Krom

Cafe Krom is a traditional Dutch cafe with a rich history. Located right in the heart of Amsterdam it welcomes its visitors for the decades. Cozy atmosphere with a vintage interior and even vintage jukebox where visitors can choose a song to listen to on real vinyls. More than that they have a cat living there and being a part of the team for many years by now. Their menu is not big but worth trying. Great drinks and delicious snacks for a good day. 

Croissanterie Outmayer

Sandwich? Chocolate cake? Maybe a sausage roll? Or a pudding bun? Too many choices to mention. But one thing is sure, they are all tasty! Perfect spot to enjoy fine delicacies while exploring the city. Pick up some delicious snacks and head to explore the city! 

Zuivere Koffie

Great for a decent breakfast, lunch or a cup of coffee. The menu contains a selection of fruit and yogurt shakes, soups, salads, bagels and sandwiches. But the best about them is their extremely delicious homemade pies baked the same day. It’s a hidden gem to find as many tourists don’t really know about this place but locals love it a lot and go there for their coffee. 

De Drie Graefjes

Here you can find homemade cake, rich lunch dishes and the perfect coffee. The cafe is now working with delivery and take-away and you are still lucky enough to try their delicious cakes! They have a new lunch menu temporarily with tasty classics and additional delicious new items.

Le Pain Quotidien

If you love freshly baked pastries you are on the right path. This is the best option for breakfast and brunch. All ingredients are from the local suppliers and fully organic. All pastries are made at the location and never used on the second day. Start your day with an amazing bread, croissants and buns with le Pain Quotidien. Try out their incredible waffles served with various fillings and toppings.
